Tell me about your materia medica. What did you choose to use and why? Did you decide to add any dividers? Did you decorate it? Etc.? I chose a 3 ring binder, mainly because it was what I had available, but also because it will be easier to add to it as I can move, remove, or add pages as I need to. I did not decorate it yet. I will probably as I begin to use it more but for now it's just a plain binder. Take two photos of your materia medica. One with the binder closed, and another with one of your pages showing. Journal your experience. How did you feel about the project. Do you think you will use it in the future? Etc.? I love this project. I know that I will continue to use it as I continue to learn about herbs and spices. I can't wait to get into the other herbology classes so that I can learn more about all the different herbs that can help people. I hope to pass this down to my daughter later on, if that's what she wants. I think this is an amazing way to pass the in

Explain It

It is important to understand how correspondences were decided because this information will help you in creating your spells and rituals. This information was formulated after a lot of what I would believe to be trial and error. There is no reason to try to reinvent the wheel when there are so many places that the information can be found. Our ancestors did the work to determine what correspondence is best for what purpose so there is no reason for us to try to change this. We should use this information that has been passed down to us to make our spells and rituals stronger and work properly for the purpose you are intending. If we understand how these conclusions came about, we are better able to understand how it works which will make our spells and rituals that much stronger. It means that we will also know what colors, scents, numbers, gems, or oils to use to manifest our wish. No, correspondences don't have to be the same for every person. I guess that it would depend on wha

Choose Two

1.Take a photo of your creation. Peppermint Cough Syrup 2.Journal your experience making and using it. Be specific and walk me through everything. I put the water on to boil. Once the water came to a boil I added the dried peppermint and let it steep for about 12 minutes. The house was smelling amazing to me at this point because of the peppermint. I shut off the heat and allowed it to cool for about 15 minutes. At this point, I strained the herbs out of the water. I rinsed my pan that I used to get all the loose herb out of the pan. I added the peppermint tea back to the pan and turned the heat back on. I added the honey and allowed it to gently heat and combine. Once combined, I turned off the heat and allowed it to cool for about 15 minutes. I then poured it into a jar. Once it cools fully I will try it to see how it tastes and how it works. Ok, I've been using this for two days now and I have to say that the taste isn't great, but it does seem to help with the cough and wit

My Blessing and Consecration

1. Create a Blessing for your new Book of Shadows Bless this book with knowledge. Goddess, guide me to learn all I can so that I can become all I am to be. So Mote it Be. 2. Create a consecration for your new Book of Shadows. For my consecration I used incense to help cleanse my book and to help provide positive energy. I asked the Goddess to help me with the consecration so that only positive growth would come out of my workings.

What are the Differences

What are the Differences? Wicca is a religion. Paganism is the umbrella term for many different religions that revere the earth. Witchcraft is used within the religions umbrellaed under Paganism. These are the main differences between the three terms. Of course there are other differences, but these are the main. Wicca and Paganism have beliefs that they hold sacred. Every religion under the term of Paganism has their own beliefs that make up the religion. Witchcraft is the vehicle used to obtain one's heart's desire. Witchcraft is used to manipulate the energies around oneself to make one's desires manifest. Witchcraft is used to focus one's energies on what one wishes to manifest within his or her self or his or her surroundings. Wiccans generally will use witchcraft, however, not all Pagans use witchcraft. Just because someone says they are a witch, does not mean they follow Wicca. There are many paths that one could be on and still use witchcraft. There are also man

What is Wicca

What is Wicca? Wicca is a religion within the Pagan path. Most Wiccans follow the rule of “harm none” and believe that what you put out into the universe will come back to you threefold. For the Wiccan, before doing anything with magick, they must consider all the consequences of what may happen. If they find that anything bad will happen, they should not complete the rite or spell. Because Wicca falls under the Pagan umbrella, those outside of the religion often believe that it has to do with Satanism. Satan is a Christian belief and Wiccans do not believe in this entity. The religion of Wicca, is considered an old religion and many are trying to follow the old ways. This can be difficult because much of the information about the old ways were passed down through word of mouth and pictograms. The times when this was practiced in the old times, many did not read or write so much was passed down through the family by word and by doing. Gardener was one of the first Wiccans to publish in
